Swiss Nutcrackers XIX–XX century

A nutcracker collector from Lithuania – Arnas Jurskis – presents the first book of its kind in the world: Swiss Nutcrackers XIX–XX century.

This book about Swiss nutcrackers will reveal when and where they were made, details on the craftspeople and companies that made them, and the history of how the characters depicted by the nutcrackers came about. The book will present a detailed hypothesis about the origin of nutcrackers – French or Swiss? It will also attempt to answer questions about exclusive “show” nutcrackers – under what circumstances, when and by whom were they created? And, finally, the veils of mystery covering nutcrackers featuring the faces of 25 famous global figures will be lifted so readers can recognise them.

– Chronology and evolution of swiss nutcrackers in one publication

– High-quality photos with descriptions

– The oldest wooden swiss nutcrackers are presented

– 302 pages

– Publication is limited to 500 copies
